This bamboo cutting board covers the entire island in my parents’ home. By placing my portable laser on top of the piece, I was able to engrave a very large message in the middle of the cutting board. The shine you see in the pictures comes from multiple light coatings of mineral oil. These coatings help the bamboo seal and remain hydrated to prevent cracks.
